The BC RCMP says charges have been laid in the death of a woman abducted from Lumby in April.
Police say Tatjana Stefanski’s ex-husband, Vitali Stefanski, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Stefanski’s body was found in a rural area a day after she was reportedly abducted on April 13, Mounties say.
“Although this investigation to date has had its many challenges, the recent charges brought against Mr. Stefanski are the result of the tireless investigative work done by the members of the SED MCU and Vernon RCMP Detachment,” said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart.
Stefanski has since been arrested and is currently in custody before he is expected in court.
