The Chetwynd RCMP has found a 10-year-old child who went missing Wednesday afternoon.
Mounties say the boy has been found safe after he previously was last seen shortly before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, running into a gully behind Little Prairie Elementary School on 51st Street in Chetwynd, B.C. — a municipality west of Dawson Creek.
Police say local search and rescue crews were deployed in effort to find him.
The Chetwynd RCMP thanked the media and public for their assistance.
The child’s name and photo have been removed from a previous version of this article to protect the family’s privacy.
