The Coquitlam RCMP says it is investigating a series of alleged indecent acts that took place over the past couple weeks.
Police say that between May 27 and June 4, a suspect has been seen multiple times committing indecent acts around Maillard Middle School on Rochester Avenue.
“In these incidents, a suspect man has been seen around and on school property between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m,” the RCMP said.
“The suspect has not approached any persons.”
The suspect is being described as being in his late teens to around 25 years old with dirty blonde or light brown short curly hair, between 5’9″ and 6’0″ tall with a slim build and stubble around the chin. He has been described as wearing a dark hoodie, sweatpants, and slide sandals while carrying a black backpack.
“These incidents occurred near a school during school hours. We understand that these incidents are very concerning and can be traumatic to everyone involved,” said Corp. Alexa Hodgins, media relations officer.
“We are asking anyone who may have information, video surveillance or dash-cam or may have seen something suspicious around Maillard Middle School between the times of 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to contact our investigators.”
Mounties say they are working with the school board to investigate the incidents. RCMP Victim Services is also involved.
