Human remains found in Richmond’s East Hamilton neighbourhood, police confirm

Police say they are investigating human remains found in Richmond’s East Hamilton neighbourhood Thursday evening.
Sgt. Gurbir Mondair of the Richmond RCMP says no foul play is suspected and there are no public safety concerns.
No further information is available, he said.
“It’s an active investigation,” Mondair told CityNews.
“Out of respect for the individual and their family, unless something comes up that’s public-safety related, we just won’t be able to release any more information.”
A caller to CityNews reported heavy police presence in the area around 7 p.m.
