Delta police: 2 teen suspects arrested for pellet gun assaults

With the help of a community member, the Delta Police Department (DPD) says it has made two arrests related to alleged pellet gun assaults in Tsawwassen.

On Tuesday, the DPD said here were three reports of “assault with a weapon” between July 12 and July 15, each involving young people shooting a BB gun at pedestrians from a vehicle.

Police announced Wednesday that they had located the vehicle and arrested a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old boy.

“[Tuesday] evening, an engaged community member assisted the police by providing information,” said Public Affairs Manager Insp. James Sandberg.

They say a pellet gun was recovered during the arrests.

He says both teens are from Tsawwassen and both have been released and “turned over” to their parents.

The DPD thanked the community for the tip.
