Train issue resolved, Langley intersections reopen

Mechanical issues involving a train created some headaches for drivers in the City of Langley Monday morning.

The problems were resolved just before 11 a.m., with cameras in the area showing the train had departed.

The train had blocked two major intersections at Fraser Highway and Production Way, and 200th Street at Logan Avenue, creating major delays for drivers along the Langley Bypass around Willowbrook Mall.

“Motorists are asked to have patience, avoid the area if possible, and find an alternate route,” the RCMP said in a news release around 10:45 a.m.

You can take 203rd Street over the Langley Bypass or 192nd Street between the Langley Bypass and Colebrook Road to get around as congestion eases.
