Tree falls across two houses in East Vancouver

A tree has fallen across two houses in East Vancouver.

The fallen tree is visible from the street at its location on East 10th Avenue near St. George Street in the city’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

Vancouver Fire Rescue tells 1130 NewsRadio the tree fell just before 9 a.m. Saturday. There was no structural damage to the properties and there were no reported injuries.



Arborists from the City of Vancouver were called in, and the trees were cut down.

A caller to 1130 NewsRadio says several fire trucks were on scene in the morning.

The area has been sectioned off by security tape.

Vancouver Fire says there is no hazard to the public.
