Power restored for 40,000 BC Hydro customers in Burnaby, Coquitlam

Power has been restored after a transmission circuit failure caused a massive outage Monday morning along the Burnaby-Coquitlam border, BC Hydro says.

Around 40,000 Hydro customers were off the power grid just after 9:45 a.m. Some affected customers are also located in New Westminster and Port Moody. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO 1130 NEWSRADIO VANCOUVER LIVE!

BC Hydro crews responded to the scene and power was restored around 10 a.m.
