Child taken to hospital after being hit by car in Vancouver

A child was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in downtown Vancouver Thursday.

BC Emergency Health Services says it happened at the intersection of Hornby and Nelson streets shortly before 6 p.m.

Vancouver Police say one of the vehicles jumped the curb and hit the child and their mother.

“Everyone appears to be uninjured, but the child was taken to hospital out of precaution,” Const. Tania Visintin told 1130 NewsRadio.
