Does your dog have what it takes to be B.C.’s next pup model?
A Port Moody brewery is running a contest to benefit the BC SPCA, looking for a pet to star on their very own beer label.
The ‘Make My Pet a Yellow Dog Brewing Star’ contest is open to all pets, not just dogs. Pet owners who want to compete must raise funds for the BC SPCA, and the top three contestants will get to appear on a four-pack of limited-edition Yellow Dog beer, with a fourth spot open to a draw of all contestants who raise $100 or more.
It’s not the first year for the contest, with the beer brand having aptly been in partnership with the BC SPCA for years.
Last year, the winning cat, Mickey, was the first of its kind to grace the label.
“Mickey and I wanted to encourage the owners of all types of pets and all animal lovers to participate. It meant so much that we were able to help support the BC SPCA in providing care, advocacy, and homes for animals in need like Mickey,” said the cat’s owner.
The contest starts Wednesday and you and your pet will have until Sept. 22 to raise as much money as possible.
The BC SPCA says the contest beer will be sold across the province.
