Man hospitalized after alleged hit and run: Surrey RCMP

Surrey police are looking for witnesses to an alleged hit and run Wednesday night.

The Surrey RCMP say officers responded to a report of a hit and run near 124 Street and 68 Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Sept. 11.

When they arrived, they found a man who had reportedly been struck by a driver while walking. Police say the man was taken to hospital with “life-altering” injuries.

Mounties later determined that a driver had fled the scene of the collision in a black, 2021 Kia Sportage.

“Officers were able to locate the vehicle a short time later,” police said.

The Surrey RCMP says investigators are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage to call 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-136307.
