Two taken to hospital after ‘serious vehicle incident’ in Surrey Saturday evening

Two people were taken to hospital after what the RCMP is describing as “a serious vehicle incident” in Surrey Saturday evening.
Emergency Health Services tells 1130 NewsRadio it received a call about the incident at 67A Avenue and 144 Street shortly after 4:30 p.m.
“Six ambulances were dispatched and paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to three people at the scene,” EHS said.
“Paramedics transported two patients to hospital.”
Corp. Corp. Dave Noon, forensic collision reconstructionist, posted on social media that the street around the area has been closed.
“LMDICARS [Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service] has deployed to the intersection of 144th St and Hyland Rd, #SurreyBC for a serious vehicle incident,” Noon said.
“144th St is currently closed in both directions between 64th and 68th Ave.”
Video shared with 1130 NewsRadio shows police tape around an area near a bus stop and appears to show a pickup truck in the yard of a house.
Noon says there is no anticipated time for reopening of the street, and detours have been put in place.
