No injuries reported after small plane crashes in Langley: RCMP

Nobody was injured when a small plane crashed in Langley Thursday afternoon, police say.

According to the Langley RCMP, the aircraft crashed into a field near 272nd Street and 84th Avenue shortly before 2 p.m.

“It is believed that the pilot experienced mechanical issues while flying and as a result forcefully landed the plane in the field,” said Const. Prrabjit Chatha.

“The pilot did not sustain any injuries as a result, however was provided assistance at the landing site.”

Mounties say mechanical engineers remained in the area through the rest of the afternoon.
