Surrey RCMP identify assault suspect

Mounties in Surrey say they have successfully identified a man suspected of being involved in an assault.

The victim told police she was assaulted near the intersection of 128 Street and 84 Avenue on July 2, by a man she knew by one name.

“The victim indicated she had met the suspect through a social media site,” police said in an update on Friday.
