Callers to 1130 NewsRadio first reported a crash between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle around 7:30 a.m.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP closed Old Dewdney Trunk Road between 203 Street and Harris Road for several hours.

Another call to 1130 NewsRadio around 3:30 p.m. confirmed that the road had been cleared.

The Forensic Collision Reconstructionist with the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was called to the scene of the crash Thursday morning.

Mounties confirmed multiple vehicles — a dump truck, an SUV, and a sedan — were involved in the crash. Police say the driver of the sedan was trapped inside their vehicle and needed extracting.

“Once removed from the vehicle, BC EHS performed life-saving measures on the driver before they were transported to hospital,” said Const. Tisha Parsons.

“No other injuries were sustained by other drivers.”
