Man arrested after assault in North Delta home

Police say a man has been arrested after what they are referring to as a serious assault in a home in North Delta Thursday.

Delta Police Department (DPD) officers were called out to a home on 117th Street near 80th Avenue where someone was found suffering from serious injuries.

The victim has been taken to hospital.

117th Street has been closed between 80th Avenue and 80A Avenue as investigators will remain on the scene for several hours.

This is not a random attack and there is no public safety risk, the DPD says.
