25 guns, cash stolen from Chilliwack home

The RCMP is investigating after a break-in and the theft of several guns in Chilliwack last week.

Mounties say the incident occurred between Christmas Day and Dec. 27 on Lyardon Road near Chilliwack Lake Road, where officers discovered the home had been ransacked. 

A total of 25 firearms — mostly long guns — were reportedly stolen, along with a significant amount of Vietnamese currency.

Police are urging anyone involved in currency exchange to be vigilant for any attempts to exchange large sums of Vietnamese Dong.

Investigators are now looking for a small white vehicle and a Ford diesel pickup truck, which may be linked to the crime.
