Passenger rescued after going overboard BC Ferries vessel
BC Ferries says a passenger was rescued Wednesday morning after going overboard while the vessel was docking at the Tsawwassen terminal.
According to the ferry service, the incident happened during the 7:45 a.m. sailing from Duke Point (Nanaimo).
“The individual was brought ashore and is now receiving care from Emergency Health Services,” BC Ferries said in a statement.

Due to the incident, two sailings have been cancelled on the route on Wednesday, including the 10:15 a.m. from Tsawwassen, and the 12:45 p.m. from Duke Point.
The condition of the passenger has not been confirmed at this time.
According to the ferry service, those who were supposed to travel on the cancelled sailings will be contacted by the BC Ferries Customer Service Centre.
