5 taken to hospital after crash in Maple Ridge Saturday

Five people were taken to hospital after a crash in Maple Ridge Saturday evening, the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) tells 1130 NewsRadio.

BC Emergency Health Services was called just before 7:30 p.m. about a vehicle incident near Dewdney Trunk Road and 284th Street.

“Four ambulance crews and a supervisor responded,” PHSA media relations officer Christopher Foulds said.

“Five patients were tended to, then transported to hospital.”

Two of the patients were in critical condition and three have non-life-threatening injuries, Foulds said.

It isn’t clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
