Police in Port Moody are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in a violent liquor store robbery last week.
The Port Moody Police Department (PMPD) says two young men entered a liqour store in the Inlet Centre area around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Staff called the police after seeing the men allegedly steal a store product and assault a person who tried to intervene.
“It is alleged that the citizen who attempted to stop one of the males was assaulted by both suspects and sustained significant injuries as a result,” the department said in a release Tuesday.
The suspects got away and police were unable to find them. The PMPD has now released images from a store security camera, hoping the public can help investigators identify the young men.
Both suspects are believed to be in their late teens. One has dark, shaggy hair and the other has short, light brown hair.
Anyone with information to share about the suspects is asked to contact Port Moody Police or Crime Stoppers.
