Alex Fraser Bridge cleared after northbound crash; delays continue

A cleared multi-vehicle crash on the Alex Fraser Bridge is still causing major delays out of Delta Wednesday afternoon.

Callers to the 1130 NewsRadio Traffic reported the crash on the bridge northbound at midspan around 2:10 p.m.

Emergency crews were on the scene and to impacted vehicles into the middle and right lanes to help commuters get by.

In an update shortly after 4 p.m., DriveBC announced that the crash had been cleared.

“Continue to expect delays as the congestion eases,” said DriveBC.

The Massey Tunnel is the alternate route out of Delta into Richmond.
