Snow day for students in North and West Vancouver school districts

The snow just kept coming down overnight into Tuesday morning for much of the Lower Mainland.
After many school districts in the Fraser Valley closed on Monday due to the unsafe road conditions and accumulation of snow, districts have been forced to make a decision again for the second day in a row.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, Langley, New Westminster, and Coquitlam school districts say all schools are open for classes.
One exception — Wix-Brown Elementary in Langley is closed Tuesday.
Simon Fraser University, University of British Columbia, Vancouver Community College (Broadway and Downtown campuses), and University Canada West have cancelled all in-person classes for Feb. 4. Douglas College has also closed both its New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses.
Kwantlen Polytechnic is open for all in-person classes Tuesday.
As for independent schools, Blessed Sacrament School, Stratford Hall, Vancouver College, and St. George’s School in Vancouver are closed on Tuesday, and so too is Lionsgate Christian Academy in North Vancouver. Westside Montessori Academy (Vancouver), West Coast Christian (Vancouver), and Our Lady of the Assumption (Port Coquitlam) are also closed.
Meanwhile, Pacific Academy in Surrey is open.
