Fraser Health replaces CEO

The Fraser Health Authority (FHA) board of directors announced Tuesday it has replaced Dr. Victoria Lee as president and CEO effective immediately.

In a release, the FHA says the board and Lee “mutually agreed” that she will be moving on to pursue other opportunities.

Dr. Lynn Stevenson, a health administration professor at UBC, former Associate Deputy Minister of Health, and former executive with Island Health, Fraser Health, and BC Cancer, has been appointed to replace Lee in the interim.

The board thanked Lee for her service as president and CEO over the past six-and-a-half years, saying it will be working to recruit someone to fill the role permanently as quickly as possible.

Lee says she’s “filled with immense pride and gratitude for the remarkable achievements” she and the health authority have accomplished over her 15 years of employment.

“I have the utmost confidence in our exceptional leadership team and Dr. Lynn Stevenson in enhancing the health and well-being of our communities,” said Lee.
