Surrey police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of a shooting that injured two people at the end of last year.
The Surrey Police Service says the investigation has been open since Dec. 29, 2024, when officers first responded to reports of a fight outside a pub on 132 Street near 85 Avenue around 2:30 a.m.
After the fight escalated, two men were shot and later taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time, police said two suspects were seen driving away in a dark-coloured sedan.
In an update Tuesday, the SPS says investigators now believe there is just one suspect. Police have released an image and description of the suspect.
He is described as a man, possibly in his 20’s, with black hair shaved on the sides, a moustache, and a beard. He was reportedly wearing a dark-coloured jacket and shirt at the time of the shooting.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to please call Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-9249.
