Callers to 1130 NewsRadio first reported a rollover crash near the Yale Road interchange around 4:35 p.m.

BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) says it received reports of the crash around 4:30 p.m.

“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,” said BC EHS.

An image shared by DriveBC showed emergency crews on scene and westbound traffic at a standstill. But in an update just before 5:50 p.m., DriveBC announced that all lanes had been cleared.

In an update Tuesday morning, the BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) says it is in the early stages of its investigation.

“A single vehicle left the road at highway speed and rolled over,” Mounties confirmed.

BCHP says the driver was the lone occupant of the rolled vehicle and only sustained minor injuries.

“There were no overt indications of criminality at the initial scene, but the investigation into the cause is ongoing.”
