Highway 1 jammed westbound after 2 crashes clear from Port Mann Bridge

Two crashes on the Port Mann Bridge have been cleared, but westbound traffic from Surrey to Coquitlam has been left snarled Tuesday morning.

Callers to 1130 NewsRadio have reported a crash on the east end in the HOV lane, and a crash on the west end, also in the HOV lane.

Both crashes were blocking the HOV and left lanes.

In updates after 8 a.m., DriveBC confirmed both crashes had been cleared.

Highway 1 was congested as far back as 176 Street in Surrey and major delays can still be expected. Drivers can reroute to the Coquitlam exit lanes to avoid the worst.
