‘Sizeable amount’ of cash turned over to Langley RCMP

The Langley RCMP says it’s hoping to reunite a “sizeable amount of cash” with its owner after it was turned in Friday.
Though it wasn’t handed to police until mid March, they say the undiclsosed amount of cash was found in late January near Springbrook Road.
“We are hoping to reunite these funds with the rightful owner,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom. “We are asking the rightful owner to come forward and explain themselves in detail so that the monies can be returned to them.”
Police are asking that the owner call the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file 2025- 7527.
“The general public is urged not to contact Langley RCMP and simply guess the total amount with the hopes of getting the cash — Making a false claim is a crime,” Mounties reminded.
