The Vancouver Police Department says a man has been arrested after a Tesla dealership in the city’s Kitsilano neighbourhood was vandalized overnight.
The VPD explains that around 1:30 a.m. Friday, a witness called 911 to report that a man had spray painted “obscenities” on the front window of the dealership on West 4th Avenue near Burrard Street.

“The suspect, 27, has been released and directed to appear in criminal court on May 15,” Visintin said, adding he is facing mischief charges.
“The Vancouver Police Department supports everyone’s right to engage in peaceful and lawful protest, however, people who commit acts of violence and mischief will face arrest and criminal charges.”
The VPD says Friday’s vandalism is the eighth confirmed incident since the beginning of the year, which the VPD says are “politically motivated and in opposition to Tesla owner Elon Musk’s political affiliation with the U.S. government. All files remain open and are actively being investigated.”
