Man taken to hospital after being hit by car in Surrey Saturday

The Surrey Police Service says it is investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car in the city’s Newton neighbourhood Saturday evening.

Police say they responded to reports of the collision near 68th Avenue and King George Boulevard just after 9 p.m.

The man was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with police.
