TSB investigating fatal Chilliwack plane crash

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) says it will send a team of investigators after two people were killed in a weekend plane crash near Chilliwack Lake.

The Chilliwack RCMP say the Cessna 172S crashed southeast of the lake just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5.

The TSB says the aircraft is owned by the Chinook Helicopters Flight School of Abbotsford.

It is not clear how many people were on board.

“TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence,” said a statement by the agency.
