Crews responded to a fire at a self-storage facility in Richmond Tuesday.

Callers to 1130 NewsRadio first reported seeing black smoke billowing from the structure near Cambie Road and Brown Road around 2 p.m.

Images from the scene show Richmond Fire Rescue crews tackling the blaze. The Richmond RCMP confirms it is assisting by controlling traffic in the area.

BC Emergency Health Services says paramedics responded to the scene, but no patients have yet needed transportation to hospital.
