“First responders arrived on scene and located two people with injuries consistent with being assaulted with an edged weapon,” Mounties said in a release Thursday.

The victims reportedly sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police say a suspect connected to the stabbing was arrested on Tuesday, and the investigation is ongoing.

“What we do know is that there was a dispute inside the liquor establishment between the parties, who were known to each other, before the alleged assault occurred,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak.

Mounties say the suspect was on parole at the time of his arrest and is being held in custody with his parole revoked.
