The Abbotsford Police Department says it is investigating a crash that resulted in three people being sent to hospital Sunday.

Police say two vehicles, a black Dodge Charger and a grey BMW sedan, collided at the intersection of Townline and Marshall roads just before 7:30 a.m.

The occupants of the Charger were airlifted to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital by ambulance with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

An image taken from the scene shows the Charger with significant damage and airbags deployed.

The AbbyPD says it is working with the Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction
    Service (ICARS) in the investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dash cam footage is asked to call Abbotsford police at 604-859-5225.
