VPD arrests robbery suspect near Pigeon Park Friday

The Vancouver Police Department says it arrested a robbery suspect after hearing a victim screaming for help Friday morning.

Police say the victim was walking near Pigeon Park when a stranger grabbed her, tried to steal her bag, and pushed her against a wall.

“VPD officers were walking nearby when they heard screams,” police said.

“The officers arrested the suspect and took her to jail.”

Kayla Richelle Jones has been charged with robbery. Police say she has been released on bail.
