Police say the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
Investigators, who want to ensure the boy is okay, say they reached out to staff at local elementary and middle schools but were not able to identify him.
He is described as being between 12 and 14 years old. He was wearing a grey or black hoody, with red writing on it, riding a big e-scooter.
“Parents are encouraged to speak to their child if they meet this description, to ensure they do not need medical attention, and to also contact Mission RCMP with more information about what happened.”
Witnesses are asked to call police at 604-826-7161 and quote file 25-6339.
