Police in Surrey say a man was shot in the early hours of Monday morning near the city’s Mud Bay Park.

The Surrey Police Service says the shooting is believed to have happened in the parking lots just after midnight.

The SPS believes the shooting occurred during a confrontation between two groups of people.

Police were alerted to the situation when the victim arrived at the hospital after being driven to the emergency room by friends.

The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, and the victim has since been discharged.

The investigation is in the early stages, and officers are working to establish a motive for the violence.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
