A train derailment could lead to problems near the Huntington-Sumas border crossing in Abbotsford on Friday.

The Abbotsford Police Department says 4th Avenue from West Railway Street to the commercial vehicle entrance at the border crossing is closed.

However, police clarify that access itself isn’t blocked.

Pictures from the scene show at least two train cars jumped the tracks, but remained upright.

The AbbyPD expects the closure will last most of Friday.
