Police arrest suspect in East Vancouver double homicide

The Vancouver Police Department says it has arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing and double homicide in East Vancouver’s Joyce-Collingwood neighbourhood Friday.
Police say they received reports of a stabbing at a residential building near Vanness Avenue and Spencer Street just before 2 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 50-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.
They later found two homicide victims — both women — in another building near Joyce Street and Vanness Avenue.

The suspect, a 54-year-old man, was found with non-life-threatening injuries at the scene of the homicides.
The homicide victims have not yet been identified.
The suspect remains in police custody. No charges have been laid.
