BCGEU strike impacting ICBC’s driver licensing services

The public sector strike in B.C. is affecting additional ICBC driver licensing services.

The BC General Employees’ Union’s latest job action escalation Wednesday included employees from the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Citizens’ Services — meaning all Service BC workers are on strike.

ICBC says some of its services at Service BC locations have been relocated to nearby ICBC claim centres.

While you can still take a road test at Service BC locations, ICBC says over-the-counter knowledge tests and license renewals are no longer being offered.

ICBC says it is working to ensure its customers can access the services they need.

It adds it will contact anyone impacted by the disruption.
