“Upon arrival, officers found two unoccupied vehicles parked in a residential driveway that had been struck by gunfire. Thankfully, the occupants inside the home—who were asleep at the time—were unharmed,” said a police statement.

The AbbyPD describes the incident as “targeted” and related to an ongoing extortion investigation.

CityNews has confirmed through multiple sources that this shooting is linked to another targeted shooting at an Abbotsford business on King Road.

Callers report that certain roads in the area have been closed to traffic as police investigate.

Investigators are asking anyone with information or video of the incident to contact the AbbyPD at 604-859-5225.
