“Chilliwack Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services attended the scene; however, the woman was pronounced deceased,” said a police release Wednesday.
Mounties say the driver and witnesses stopped at the scene immediately after the crash.
“[The victim’s] next of kin have been notified,” police added.
Images from the scene show a pickup truck stopped by police near a damaged wheeled shopping bag with its contents strewn across the road.
