Northbound lanes will remain open.
The closure relates to the ongoing Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project, which requires the approach to the bridge to be closed on the Surrey side.
The new bridge, coming in at a cost of $1.6 billion, is scheduled to be operational by Christmas. The Ministry of Transportation says it will have wider lanes and wider walking and cycling paths in both directions.
Construction began in 2021.
DriveBC recommends taking the Alex Fraser, Port Mann, or Queensborough bridges as alternate routes.
