Crews cleared multi-vehicle crash blocking Lions Gate Bridge southbound

The multi-vehicle crash on the Lions Gate Bridge has been cleared now.

According ot DriveBC, the Lions Gate Bridge has fully reopened, and all three lanes are open for traffic again.

The West Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was responding to the scene of a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

Callers to 1130 NewsRadio first reported the incident near the north end of the bridge around 12:45 p.m.

Callers say that one truck and three cars were involved.

Images from the scene show that southbound lanes were blocked, and northbound drivers, limited to one lane, were backed up towards Stanley Park.

DriveBC advises drivers to expect delays due to congestion and recommends considering the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge as an alternative.
