Surrey police: driver strikes 2 pedestrians, flees, abandons vehicle

One person was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run in Surrey late Thursday night.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says the driver of a vehicle struck two pedestrians near 88 Avenue and Nordel Way around 11:20 p.m.

The driver, also reportedly a man, fled the scene, and police say he abandoned the vehicle nearby.
On Friday morning, police could be seen investigating a covered vehicle in a parking lot near 120 Street and Nordel Way.



Nordel Way remained closed to westbound traffic for several hours overnight as the SPS Collision Investigation Unit worked.
