Lions Gate Bridge reopens in both directions after police incident

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) temporarily closed the Lions Gate Bridge in both directions Monday evening.

“Currently, VPD is assisting West Vancouver with an incident on the bridge,” Const. Megan Lui told 1130 NewsRadio.

Callers to the 1130 NewsRadio newsroom reported that multiple police vehicles and a helicopter responded to the scene..

According to DriveBC, the bridge reopened to traffic in both directions shortly before 8:50 p.m.

Alex Carrigan in the 1130 NewsRadio Traffic Centre says drivers can expect delays due to the closure.
