Sex offender wanted on Canada-wide warrant, found: VPD

A convicted sex offender who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after he failed to return to his halfway house has been located and arrested, say the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
Fifty-nine-year-old Kenneth Nolan Kirton is currently serving a 10-year long-term supervision order, as he has been designated a dangerous offender.
On July 22, police say he signed out of his Downtown Eastside halfway house and did not return, triggering the Canada-wide warrant being issued for his arrest.
Kirton is described as being 5’4, about 135 lbs, with short black hair, and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a tan button-up shirt, light blue shorts, and white runners, say police.
Kirton has a tattoo of a skull on his right forearm and a scar on his left cheek.
VPD asks anyone who sees Kirton or knows of his whereabouts to contact police by calling 911.
