PHOTOS: Vancouver Aquarium expansion

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Phase one of a $120-million expansion is complete and open to the public this weekend in Stanley Park.

The Vancouver Aquarium has a new entrance, outdoor courtyard, rotunda, kids play area, revitalized tropics display, restaurant, entertainment space, and gift shop, along with other improvements.

Work on larger beluga and dolphin tanks is expected to begin later next year with a completion date of 2017.
