Charges approved in Surrey stabbing

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A 22-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a Surrey resident who was stabbed to death last month.
Staff Sergeant Jennifer Pound of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Unit says 63-year-old Donald Deweyn was pronounced dead in hospital.
She says the suspect, Dylan Dempsey, has a criminal record dating back to 2007.
Police believe other people have information about the incident but have not yet come forward.
