CN train derails near Terrace

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – There has been a CN train derailment near Terrace.

26 cars went off the westbound track at around 7 a.m. as the train travelled towards Prince Rupert.

Patrick Waldron with CN says crews are investigating the cause of the derailment. “We had a westbound intermodal train that was headed for Prince Rupert derailed a little after 7 a.m.,” he explains. “The intermodal containers involved were carrying a variety of products, lumber grain, pulp and paper.”

He adds there are no injuries or damages and that investigators are looking into a cause.
