RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – He has admitted to incest, theft and forgery, but Charles Kembo of Richmond denies killing anyone. Kembo also admits past problems with addiction, using fake identification and having a lengthy criminal record for theft and forgery. He is on trial for the murders of four people, including his wife Margaret and friend, Ardon Samuel.
Kembo testified his wife vanished in 2002 but he often spoke to her by phone in the two years after she vanished before losing contact with her. Kembo also denied meeting with Samuel in a park before the man was found strangled and buried there in November 2003. Prosecutors say Kembo killed his wife, Samuel, and two other people before assuming their identities for financial gain.
